Months ago, I went to my friend's home and saw two of their daughters (both are 8) playing restaurant role playing game and I was forced to be their customer. I saw whole bunch of plastic burgers and hotdogs which are not good for my stomach. Finally, I spotted the cashier holding a Bunny doll and I want that one,
ME: "I want that Rabbit."
LITTLE GIRL: "It's a bunny, not a rabbit, It is not for sell."
ME: "Just tell me how much, my friend."
LITTLE GIRL: "Misty is one of a kind and it is priceless."
ME: "Ok, I am leaving now."
LITTLE GIRL: "Ok, it is going to cost you 1 Billion Dollars."
ME: "Misty is expensive! But it's ok, it is one of a kind, I understand that. But I don't think I have 1 Billion with me today."
LITTLE GIRL (pointed to another little girl): "She has the same Bunny doll, it's name is Misty too."
ME: "?? Hold on, I thought you said Misty is one of a kind."
LITTLE GIRL: "............"
ME: "Ok, I trust you two, I believe both Misty worth a Billion each, but let me suggest you a real deal, go burn your friend's Misty to make your Misty be the true one of a kind, it will worth 100 Billion later."
LITTLE GIRL: "............"
They just ran into the mothers group without saying a word, and this is what I heard next.
LITTLE GIRLS: "Uncle Ken try to burn our Misty."
What!! I need a clarify here, first, I will never burn anything because I am afraid of fire, I suggested instead. Second, I just told her to burn one, not two them.
Even there is no burning actually happened but I heard the fire alarm approaching. Yes, my wife just storm to me like a fire truck with red light still blinking on her face in seconds and call it game over.
Sigh....I just want to share what I was taught back in Hong Kong, an old fellow in school told us the story about how to burn one stamp if you have two to make it be one of a kind.
Hey, Misty owners, please forgive me. I am not a bunny burner and I will be careful next time. (Actually, got blacklisted again for another incident in the same day, will share that later.) Anyway, I love you girls and love your creativity.
